A First for Namibia
Imagine if you could wake up every morning to the sight of a vast, pristine savannah landscape, untouched by city life and authenticated by its indigenous vegetative surrounds and panoramic views. You sip on a cup of steaming coffee as a guinea fowl calls it’s mate, and you spot a herd of majestic Oryx grazing on dew fresh grass. You gaze through the vegetation and smell the distinct aroma of freshly prepared fairways. No longer are there sounds of the city, just the laughter of the family on their morning bike ride. This is life at Omeya, a first for Namibia and a breath of fresh air.
Water is Life
Omeya, derived from the dialect of the Oshiwambo, directly translated means water. Set in proximity to the oldest and driest desert in the world, Omeya seems a stark contrast to the barren landscape and callous terrain in which it so closely resides. However, those who have been fortunate enough to visit the area know full well that the word Omeya is ideally suited. Embodying the lush green topography that the estate rests upon, its presence is unique and treasured by many. Set amongst the Camel Thorn trees and rugged hills that frame it, it is rare, beautiful and a respite from the lethargic heat of day to day life. Most importantly, it is a source of life, hydrating seeds for future development and growth.
